Children quiver with excitement when asked a question at the 11+ Holiday Learning Club. Their hands shoot up as they strain to be picked to give the right answer. As class ends, the 10-year-olds cluster around their tutor, demanding to know who got the highest grade in that morning’s test. The top score was 93 per cent.
